Annia Aurelia Galeria Lucilla was the daughter of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina II. After the death of Antoninus Pius in 161, her father ascended to the throne, sharing power with Lucius Verus (161-169 AD), who married Lucilla in 164. Thus, Lucilla appeared on coins as Augusta during her husband’s lifetime, or as Augusta and the daughter of Emperor Antoninus. After her husband's death, she married the senator Tiberius Claudius Pompeianus. In 182, she became involved in a conspiracy to overthrow her brother, Emperor Commodus, who then ordered her execution.
